This two-hour evening includes a short presentation on Ecclesiology and the Addiction Epidemic. Small and large group discussions and brainstorming will follow, and group formation with specific action plans will be encouraged.
COST: $250.00* (see note)
* As always, scholarships and discounts are available for churches and non-profits that cannot afford the usual fee, but please pay what you can reasonably afford so that this important ministry can continue.
In his apostolic exhortation The Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis invites parishes "to be bold and creative in our . . . methods of evangelization." He reminds us: "What counts above all is 'faith working through love' (Gal 5:6)." The pope calls us to "draw near to . . . the addicted . . . any many others" (210).
Designed as a sequel to the WE THIRST series, this educational and contemplative evening will suggest and encourage specific community action plans. We will recall our Christian identity as "a people" with a mission to serve and consider tangible ways to put that mission into action in the midst of the addiction epidemic.
* Mileage rates will be calculated beyond a 60 mile radius (from Bethlehem, PA).
